This is one of my new experiments on making cookies. These cookies are not only healthy but tasty as well.
Ingredients
Whole Wheat Flour - 1.5 cups
Country Sugar - 1/2 cup
Pure Ghee (Clarified Butter) - 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon powder - 1/4 tsp
Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
Milk - 3 tbsp
Salt a pinch
Tutti Fruiti - 1/2 cup
Method
- Pre-heat oven at 180 deg Celcius. Line your Cookie Tray with Parchment paper
- Sieve Whole wheat flour, baking powder, cinnamon powder, Cardamom powder and Salt. Mix is thoroughly
- Whisk And Cream Ghee and Country Sugar thoroughly with a hand mixer till it's light and fluffy
- Add the whole wheat flour mix and khead it into a dough
- Add milk as needed to make a soft dough
- Make small balls and stuff it with Tutti Fruiti bits. Make a firm ball again and Press it against the fork to give a shape as give in the pic
- Bake it for 15 to 18 mins in 180 deg Celcius..
- Cool it in wire rack and store it in an air tight container.
I made Jam Biscuits..last weekend.. and My Daughter loved it... hope you all will like it....
Ingredients:
Flour - 1 Cup
Butter - 4 1/2 tbsp
Powdered Sugar - 1/2 Cup
Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
Mixed Fruit Jam - 2 to 3 tbsp
Method:
- Pre-Heat Oven at 165 degrees for 10 mins
- Cream Powered Sugar & Butter till sugar is mixed well with butter
- Add Vanilla essence, Flour & knead to a dough. (if the dough is too dry add milk otherwise not required)
- Chill the dough for 10 to 15 mins.
- Make 25 equal sized balls from the dough & flatten it.
- Make a small thumb impression on each flattened dough & scoop 1/4 tsp of Jam in each
- Bake it for 15 to 20 mins at 165 degrees. Cool it on Wire Rack for 1 hr & store it in Air Tight Container
Tips:
- You can use other types of Jams to give a flavor twist.
- Please be very careful while taking out the done cookies out of the oven as the jam will be Super Hot....
This is the third variety of Cookie I made with the same Cookie dough but with a traditional twist of Kesar & Pista:
Ingredients:
Flour - 1 cup
Butter - 4 1/2 tbsp.
Powered Sugar - 1/3 cup
Saffron - 1 big pinch soaked in warm Milk
Pista - 2 Tbsp powdered & 20 to 25 for decoration
Method:
- Cream Butter & Sugar till Sugar is mixed properly
- Add Saffron Milk & Pista Powder
- Add Flour & knead to a soft dough
- Divide the dough into 15 to 20 equal portions.
- Make rounds & flatten each ball. Press it with a Pista piece
- Pre-heat oven at 160 deg for 10 mins. Bake at 160 deg for 15 to 20 mins
- Store it in air-tight container after cooling
Tips:
- You can cardamom powder for extra flavor
- The cookies might crack while pressing but that will add to the look of the cookies.
This is the second variety of Cookie I made with the same Cookie dough but with a slight variation:
Ingredients:
Flour - 1 cup
Butter - 4 1/2 tbsp.
Powered Sugar - 1/3 cup
Rooh af zaah - 2 tbsp. (Rose sugar Syrup)
Cocoa Powder - 1 1/2 tbsp
Milk (as required)
Method:
- Cream Butter & Sugar till Sugar is mixed properly
- Add Flour & knead to a soft dough
- Divide the dough into two equal portions.
- To one portion, add Rooh af zaah (Knead well & add Flour if required)
- To second portion, add cocoa powder (Knead well & add Milk if required)
- Roll each portion in elongated tube
- Attach the two elongated tubes together & roll light till they stick together
- Refrigerate for 45 mins & Cut into thin slices with a sharp knife
- Pre-heat oven at 160 deg for 10 mins. Bake at 160 deg for 15 to 20 mins\
- Store it in air-tight container after cooling
Tips:
- You can add nuts to enhance taste & texture
Its Cookie Time again... I made 4 different variations of Cookies with same cookie dough... I will share all of them with you....
Ingredients:
Flour - 1 Cup

Powdered Sugar - 1/2 Cup
Tutti Fruti - 1/3 Cups
Marbled ChocoChips - 4 tbsp
Milk - 2 tbsp. (if required)
Method:
- Pre-Heat Oven at 165 degrees for 10 mins
- Cream Powered Sugar & Butter till sugar is mixed well with butter
- Add Tutti Fruti & half of Chocochips
- Add Flour & knead to a dough. (if the dough is too dry add milk otherwise not required)
- Chill the dough for 10 to 15 mins.
- Make 25 equal sized balls from the dough & flatten it.
- Sprinkle & press the balance chocochips on cookies
- Bake it for 15 to 20 mins at 165 degrees. Cool it on Wire Rack for 1 hr & store it in Air Tight Container
Tips:
- You can use other types of chocochip or raisins with this.
Hi... usually my husband needs to snack while having his cup of tea or coffee.. Whenever I go to grocery store.... I forget to buy biscuits for him.. This time I thought of making cookies.... It turned our really well...
Ingredients:
Flour (Maida) - 1 cup
Unsalted Butter - 5 tbsp (softened)
Powdered Sugar - 1/2 cup
Pistachios (unsalted) - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Almonds - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Cashews - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Saffron - a pinch (soaked in 1 tbsp of warm milk)
Cardamom Powder - 1/2 tsp
Method:
- Pre-heat oven at 170 degrees
- Cream butter & powdered sugar till sugar is dissolved
- Mix all nuts together and add 3/4 of the mixed nuts to butter-sugar mix
- Add saffrom milk & cardamom powder.
- Add Flour to the mix and knead to a soft dough
- Cool it for 5 mins & make small balls.
- Flatten each ball, lay it on butter paper of baking tray
- Sprinkle & press few mixed nuts on top of each flattened ball
- Bake it for 30 mins till the cookie turns light brown in colour
- Move to wire rack to cool & store in air tight box once it is completed cooled

- Best way to nuts to children who do not eat nuts
- Baking time may vary from oven to oven
